COURT TOUR PROGRAM 2009 - 2010

Getting Involved: Volunteers Needed

One of the most successful law related education programs is the Court Tour Program. Each year the Fairfax Bar Association, with the financial assistance of the Fairfax Law Foundation, sponsors court tours for middle and high school students in Fairfax County.

In three hours, students tour the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, the General District Court and the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, speak with judges from all three courts, interact with attorney guides and other court personnel, participate in a mock trial and view actual trials. This program is a great way to become involved with the Fairfax Bar Association and only requires a nominal time commitment.

We ask that you sign-up to guide two Court Tours, each beginning at 9:30 AM and ending around noon. Please review the Court Tour calendar below for available dates. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Hope Nugent at (571) 208-0763 or e-mail her at court.tour.program@gmail.com.
